Taylor’s 26-point effort leads South Laurel to second straight win

LONDON — Jeff Davis’ South Laurel Cardinals are beginning to hit stride.

South Laurel evened its record at 3-3 while capturing its second win in a row thanks to a 72-43 win over Fleming County during Saturday’s Legacy Nissan Dribble Drive Challenge.

The Cardinals built a 20-11 lead heading in to the second quarter and never looked back.

Kaden Taylor turned in a stellar effort, scoring 14 points in the first quarter, and six points in both the second and third quarters while finishing with a game-high 26 points. Brendan Murphy added 19 points in the win while Kaiden McQueen added eight points.
