Balanced attack lifts Clay County past Boyd-Buchanan

The Clay County Lady Tigers bounced back in a big way on Friday, rolling past Boyd-Buchanan 68-43 to improve to 4-3 on the season.

Clay County took control early, leading 14-9 after the first quarter before stretching the advantage to 34-16 at halftime. The Lady Tigers continued to pull away after the break, carrying a 52-27 lead into the fourth quarter.

Carly Fultz led the way with 18 points, seven rebounds and two steals. Lauryn Sizemore added 15 points, while Anna Samples finished with 12 points and Harper Rice chipped in 11 as Clay County showcased a balanced offensive attack.

“We had a good bounce back game with multiple players stepping up in different spots,” Clay County coach Gemma Parks said. “We had a very even scoring attack that is needed for us to win big games this season. I am proud of our girls.”
