Sting Operation: Lady Jackets Dominate from Start to Finish

CORBIN — Middlesboro continued its early-season momentum with a dominant 66–15 win over Lynn Camp on Monday, marking the Lady Yellow Jackets’ third straight victory.

They pushed the advantage to 53–15 entering the fourth quarter before closing out their third consecutive double-digit win.

“I’m glad we had multiple people scoring tonight,” Middlesboro coach Sally Adams said. “I really respect what Janet is doing with the program. They made our girls work and run different actions than what we are used to. I’m proud of our girls for finding different ways to drive middle and feed to the post.”

They improve to 3–1 while the Lady Wildcats drop to 1–1.

The Lady Yellow Jackets jumped ahead quickly, leading 16–3 after the first quarter and extending the margin to 34–9 by halftime.

Emily Lambert delivered another standout performance, scoring 12 of her game-high 28 points in the first quarter and adding 12 more in the third.

Lambert also contributed three 3-pointers while Azailiah Petty scored all 11 of her points in the fourth quarter. Millie Roberts added 14 points, scoring seven of them in the third quarter while also knocking down two 3-pointers.

Lynn Camp was led by Lily Henize and Aubree Hollin, who each scored four points.
