Corbin Freshman Shelbi Carroll Named KVCA 13th Region Player of the Year

CORBIN — Corbin freshman Shelbi Carroll has quickly emerged as one of the region’s brightest young talents — and now she has the hardware to prove it.

Carroll has been named the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association’s (KVCA) 13th Region Player of the Year, earning the honor after a breakout season for the Lady Redhounds.

Carroll leads Corbin with 373 kills, providing a powerful and consistent offensive presence at the net.

In addition to her scoring role, she has also contributed 21 blocks, 19 assists, 294 digs, and 38 service aces across 34 matches, showcasing her all-around ability and competitiveness on the court.

Her impact has played a major role in guiding Corbin to a 26-13 record and a berth in the 13th Region Championship match, where the Lady Redhounds will take on Whitley County today.
