CORBIN — The Corbin Lady Redhounds bounced back after dropping the opening set Thursday, defeating CHAT 3-1 (23-25, 25-17, 25-17, 26-24) to improve to 21-8 on the season.
“CHAT came in playing a strong game and really caught us off guard early,” Corbin coach Krystal Jones said. “I’m proud of how our girls settled in, battled back, and found a way to win. It was a good test for us and a reminder that we have to stay ready every point.
“It was also a special night as we held our Cerebral Palsy Awareness Night,” Jones added. “Our honorary captain, Addi Wilder, made the first serve of the evening to kick off game time, a moment none of us will forget. A huge thank-you to the CHAT fans for joining in and helping make the night so meaningful. We’ll be back in the gym tomorrow for practice, then have a tri-match on Saturday as we continue to prepare for postseason play. Go Hounds.”
