BOWLING GREEN — The 13th Region was well represented at the KHSAA Girls Golf State Championship, with three standout players finishing their seasons on the state’s biggest stage.
- Makena Myatt (Corbin) – The freshman proved she belongs among Kentucky’s elite golfers, finishing tied for 29th out of 90 competitors with a two-day score of 161. Her top-30 finish as just a ninth-grader shows the future is bright for the Lady Redhounds’ rising star.
- Alyssa Siler (South Laurel) – The Lady Cardinals’ senior standout carded a total of 170, which placed her in a tie for 54th overall. Her performance capped off a strong season and gave South Laurel valuable representation in the state field.
- Lily Smith (Clay County) – Competing against the best of the best, Smith earned valuable state experience while finishing 86th overall with a 190. Her presence at state adds to the growing golf tradition in Clay County
