HAZARD — The Whitley County Colonels closed out their regular season slate with authority, defeating Perry Central 8-0.
Rizzo Cima led the way with a dominant performance, netting seven goals to pace the Colonels’ offense. Bryson Mahan added a goal and dished out three assists, while Brody Moses tallied three assists of his own. Levi Huddleston and Hydro Cunnagin each chipped in with an assist.
Afterward, Whitley County coach Michael Branham praised his team’s complete effort.
“We came out aggressive and possessed well in the middle tonight,” he said. “Perry had a fast attack but our defense stepped up tonight and played well which created more chances up top. It was a great way to cap off a big week heading into the district tournament.”
