SOMERSET — The North Laurel Lady Jaguars closed out their regular season slate on a high note, defeating Pulaski County, 2-1, to finish with an 8-5 record.
Haley Combs provided the scoring punch for North Laurel, finding the back of the net twice. Lauren Crouch set up one of those goals with a perfectly placed corner kick that Combs converted with a header.
Lady Jaguar coach Kayla Carson praised her team’s effort and resilience in the victory.
“We fought hard to get a solid win to finish out the regular season against a very physical Pulaski team,” she said. “I was super proud of the effort we gave tonight. PC struck first then Haley was able to find the back of the net to tie it up. Then Lauren Crouch played a beautiful ball from the corner that Haley was able to head into the goal.”
