Bobcats stay perfect with 40-6 in over Whitley County

WILLIAMSBURG — Dudley Hilton’s Bell County Bobcats lived up to its No. 1 ranking in the 13th Region by dominating Whitley County on Friday.

Blake Burnett started the scoring with an 89-yard touchdown run and the Bobcats never looked back, cruising to an easy, 40-6, win. 

Bell County’s record stand at a perfect 5-0 with the win while the Colonels, who were without tailback Dee Parker for the second straight game, fall to 1-4.

The Bobcats were led by tailback Kaden Powers, who ran for two touchdowns in the first half while Luke Lambdin also had a rushing touchdown. Barnett also threw a touchdown pass to Joseph Brigmon.

Bell County will be back in action Friday on the road against McCreary Central while Whitley County will host North Laurel.
