South Laurel’s record now stands at 4-3-1 after playing to a 1-1 draw with Pulaski County on Thursday.
“We started the half out really going back and forth with attacking and a big compliment goes to our squad and coaches,” Cardinals coach Brooks Cawood said. “We threw a new formation at the boys just yesterday and they responded well. Blake Robinson scored with 2:33 left in the first half. Another great thing to see was that we came out with some energy to start the second half.
“Pulaski was able to make adjustments and again, we went back and forth for 39 minutes,” Cawood added. “They were able to really dig in and control most of the final 10 minutes and scored with 19 seconds left. Tonight was just another match for us to build from and keep improving.”
