CORBIN — Fresh off their Kentucky 2A, Section 7 championship run this past weekend, the Corbin Lady Redhounds kept their momentum rolling Tuesday night, defeating Bell County in straight sets, 25-7, 25-9, 25-19.
The win marked Corbin’s sixth in a row, improving its record to 9-4 on the season. Bell County, meanwhile, slipped to 6-2. The Lady Redhounds dominated early, cruising through the first two sets before closing the match with a convincing third-set win.
Corbin coach Krystal Jones praised her team’s continued growth and determination.
“We’re really proud of our girls for coming out and competing tonight,” she said. “They continue to show improvement each time they step on the floor, and that’s what we’re focused on as a team.
“We know there are still so many things we want to work on and build, but we’re proud of their progress and we’ll continue to put in the work to keep getting better,” Jones added. “It’s always a great day to be a Redhound. Go Hounds.”
