Middlesboro records first win over South Laurel since 2005

LONDON — South Laurel’s offensive struggles continued against Middlesboro on Monday with the Lady Cardinals being shut out for the second consecutive game.
The Lady Yellow Jackets (3-0) recorded their third-ever win against South Laurel, and first win over the Lady Cardinals (0-3) dating back to 2005 by recording a 2-0 victory.
“Proud of the improvement we showed today,” South Laurel coach Jessica Hoskins said. “A 2-0 (decision) is a tough loss but I think we’re moving in the right direction.
Still have work to be done, but we’re getting closer.”
