STANFORD — Corbin fell behind quickly during its 2-0 season-opening road loss to Lincoln County on Tuesday, but put up a fight throughout the match.
“Scrappy game in which Lincoln scored a long range goal in the first few minutes,” Corbin coach Roger Taylor said. “Once we settled down i thought we controlled the game and had the majority of possession.
“We struggled to create any real chances for most of the match despite the control of the game,” he added. “With 10 minutes left we changed to a more attacking formation we allowed a scrappy counter attack goal in. We played well for the first match and have some clear things to work on.”
