CORBIN — Austin Reynolds’ Corbin girls’ golf team turned in a fifth place effort while finishing with a team score of 493 during their recent golf match.
Makena Myatt placed fifth overall with an 83 while teammate Kalyn Watkins shot an 85. Paige Kfoury had a 113 while Brooke Kfoury followed with a 116, and Xandria Beller finished with a 142.
“The course was an excellent condition, played hard, with pins in tough places whether it be tucked or close to the slopes on the different tiered greens,” Reynolds said. “I believe our girls know exactly what it is gonna take now for them to shave a couple strokes off of their game, with better course management and figuring out how to better maximize their shots leading them into their next shot. I think this tournament here was more or less a learning experience.”
