PINEVILLE — For the third straight year, Corbin and Whitley County will face-off in the 13th Region Baseball Tournament championship game.
The Redhounds took care of business on Tuesday, cruising past Bell County, 13-1, during semifinal action.
Corbin scored a run in each of the first three innings to take a 3-0 lead before putting the game away with six runs in the fifth inning.
Cruz Cima notched the win for the Redhounds, pitching 3.1 innings of scoreless and hitless ball while Ethan Abner came in relief and secured the win for the Redhounds.
Trey Person turned in a night to remember at the plate, going a perfect 5-for-5 with an RBI, and two runs scored while stealing two bases. Kade Elam had a hit and two RBI while Cam Estep finished with a hit, an RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases. Clay Botner drove in two runs while Lucas Tarvin, Noah Cima and Jaden Broughton both drove in a run apiece.
