MANCHESTER — Candice Williams struck out 10 batters and allowed only two earned runs as Jackson County earned its spot in the 49th District Tournament Fastpitch finals with a 7-3 win over Clay County.
Clay County led 3-1 entering the fourth inning before the Lady Generals (16-14) scored three runs in both the fourth and fifth innings while taking a 7-3 edge.
Williams came up big at the plate with two hits and three RBI while Lexi Brockman finished with two hits and two RBI. Kylie Moore delivered two hits and an RBI while Ella Sallee drove in a run.
