WILLIAMSBURG — Harlan County took advantage of four errors, scoring three runs in the first two innings to defeat Whitley County on Monday, 3-0.
The Lady Black Bears managed five hits in the win as Halanah Shepherd led the way with three hits while Alexis Adams finished with a hit and two RBI.
Adams limited the Lady Colonels to three hits while tossing a complete game shutout, finishing with 14 strikeouts.
Cambree Price, Payton Hurst, and Morgan Huddleston had Whitley County’s lone hits.
Caylee Singleton took the loss, allowing only five hits and one earned run while striking out nine batters.
