JAMESTOWN — Eighty-five teams participated in this past weekend’s 2025 Operation UNITE KHSAA Boys’ Bass Fishing State Championship with five local teams turning in stellar efforts.
Both North Laurel and South Laurel had two teams apiece participating for the state championship while Whitley County had one.
South Laurel’s teams of (Isaac Alsip/Logan Kilburn 27th, 17 lbs, 0 oz), and Landon Alexander/Hunter Swafford (37th, 13 lbs, 0 oz) both turned in stellar results while North Laurel’s teams of Meguire Day/Blaine Smith (33rd, 13 lbs, 13 oz), and Brayden Howard/JoeClay Durham 66th, 5 lbs, 15 oz) finished with impressive results as well.
Whitley County’s team of Skyler Mahan/Chris Cureton impressed with a 34th place effort resulting in a total 13 pounds, and 5 ounces.
