SOMERSET — North Laurel trailed Somerset 1-0 for three innings before breaking the game open with two runs in the fourth inning, three runs in the fifth inning, and a run in the sixth inning, defeating the Lady Briar Jumpers, 6-2.
Bella Sizemore delivered a home run and finished with two RBI and two runs scored as the Lady Jaguars improved to a 13th Region-best 21-4.
Saige McClure had two hits, an RBI, and a run scored while Emma Carl finished with two hits and a run scored. Tessa Monhollen connected with a run-scoring hit while Katie Keen, Morgan Edwards, and Bella Finley each had a hit apiece.
Monhollen got the win, pitching 5.2 innings while allowing three hits and two earned runs. She struck out five batters. Carl tossed 1.1 innings, allowing no hits or earned runs, and struck out three batters.
