Lady Yellow Jackets notched their first win, defeat Owsley County, 21-3 

WILLIAMSBURG — Roger Prewitt’s Williamsburg Lady Yellow Jackets notched their first win of the season with a 21-3 win over Owsley County.

Williamsburg took advantage of 14 walks and two errors while pounding out 10 hits.

Brooklyn Taylor went 3-for-3 with three RBI, and four runs scored while Kyli Monhollen was 2-for-2 with four RBI, and two runs scored. Megan Prewitt had a hit, and an RBI, and scored three times while Cadence Elliott was 2-for-2 with two RBI, and three runs scored. Angela Stephens finished with a hit, two RBI, and two runs scored while Maddie Goodin had a hit, and scored once. Makenzie Rice drove in two runs and scored three times while Laylee Wyatt drove in a run, and scored twice.

Monhollen picked up the win in the pitcher’s circle, allowing four hits, and three earned runs while striking out five batters.

Owsley County scored three runs in the top of the first inning before the Lady Yellow Jackets responded with 11 runs in the bottom of the first. Williamsburg added 10 more runs in the second inning.
