Redhounds roll, hand Dixie Heights 13-3 loss 

CORBIN — Noah Cima done damage at the plate while Cruz Cima got the job done on the mound for Corbin during Tuesday’s 13-3 rout of Dixie Heights.

The Redhounds are beginning to pick up steam, winning their fourth straight while improving to 7-5.

Noah Cima was 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs scored while Kade Elam and Cam Estep turned in a perfect nights at the plate. Elam went 3-for-3 with an RBI, and three runs scored while Estep was 4-for-4 with a hit and two runs scored.

Cruz Cima tossed six shutout innings, allowing only three hits while striking out four batters.

“Cruz threw well, it was great to see him go out and go the distance and then the top of our lineup really set the tone for us today,” Corbin coach Cody Philpot said.

After spotting Dixie Heights a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning, Corbin answered with four runs in the bottom of the first and seven runs in the bottom of the second before putting finishing touches on the win with a runs in the fifth and sixth innings.

Lucas Tarvin went 2-for-2 with two RBI, and a run scored while Cooper McCauley and Clay Botner had a hit, an RBI, and a run scored apiece. Tyrone Person finished with an RBI, and a run scored while Jaden Broughton finished with a hit and a run scored.
