Cardinals drop second straight, fall to Crescent, 1-0

MYRTLE BEACH, SC — South Laurel suffered its first two-game losing skid of the season after falling to Crescent, 1-0, on Thursday.
The Cardinals (7-2) receives another solid pitching effort from Keaton Creech. He tossed six innings, allowing only three hits and no earned runs while finishing with six strikeouts.
The Tigers scored the game’s lone run in the second inning while silencing South Laurel’s bats in the process.
Trey Smith’s squad managed three hits, as Vincent Sizemore, Wilkelver Gaviria-Zuleta, and Kamdin Dewees each relieved a single apiece.
