WILLIAMSBURG — Caylee Singleton notched a no-hitter and struck out eight batters to guide Whitley County to an easy 16-0 win over McCreary Central on Monday.
Whitley County (2-3) also did damage with the bats, scoring five runs in the first and third innings while putting the game out of reach with a six-run fourth inning.
“The girls did a good job making adjustments at the plate,” Whitley County coach Angela Singleton said. “Making solid contact after the first inning. Pitching and defense were also solid.”
Hallie Huddleston finished with a hit, three RBI and a run scored while Jayden Barton delivered two hits, two RBI and two runs scored apiece. Payton Hurst and Mia Prewitt delivered two hits, two RBI and one run scored apiece while Cambree Price had two hits, one RBI and two runs scored. Singleton delivered a hit, and an RBI while Morgan Huddleston had a hit, an RBI and scored three times. Madilyn Rains finished with a run and two runs scored.
