13th Region Saturday Fastpitch Wrap-Up: Lady Green Dragons’ Ella Lisenbee shines, Pineville’s Howard dominates, & North Laurel stays perfect at 4-0

Lynn Camp 30, Powell County 20

The Lady Wildcats and Powell County hooked up in a wild one with the two teams combining to score 50 runs and collect 48 hits during Saturday’s matchup.

Lynn Camp overcame nine errors and 13 unearned runs to pick up a 30-20 win while delivering 34 hits.

Aniyah Hamilton, Charity Steele, Julie Moore, and Madison Weymers each delivered a home run during their win for Lynn Camp.

Moore was 5-for-5 with seven RBI while Lily Henize was 6-for-7 with five RBI.

Harlan 18, Lynn Camp 6

The Lady Green Dragons handed Lynn Camp its first loss of the season by using an eight-run fourth inning to pick up an 18-6 win.

Ella Lisenbee delivered a home run, three hits, three runs scored and seven RBI to lead Harlan. Abbi Fields was 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored.

Jordyn Smith got the win in the pitcher’s circle, pitching five innings while allowing nine hits and five earned runs while striking out six batters.

Emma Burnette, Lauren Partin and Charity Steele each led Lynn Camp (4-1) with two hits and an RBI apiece.

Harlan 13, Powell County 4

The Lady Green Dragons scored four runs in the second inning while adding five more runs in the fifth inning to pick up a 13-4 win over Powell County.

Addison Jackson delivered a home run for Harlan (2-1) while driving in three runs and scoring three times. Ella Lisenbee went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a triple, three RBI, and three runs scored. Abbi Fields finished with two hits, three RBI, and one run scored.

Jordyn Smith got the win, tossing four innings while allowing three hits and one earned run. She struck out 11 batters.

Berea 26, Williamsburg 6

The Lady Yellow Jackets (0-2) only had four hits and finished with five errors during their 26-6 loss to Berea.

Megan Prewitt had a hit and three RBI while Taylor Ballew finished with a hit and two RBI.

Middlesboro 13, Williamsburg 7

Williamsburg hung tough but in the end dropped a 13-7 decision to Middlesboro.

Kyli Monhollen finished 3-for-3 with three RBI for Williamsburg (0-3) while Megan Prewitt was 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Alexis Ingram went 4-for-5 with one RBI and two runs scored for Middlesboro (2-1) while Lily Partin had a hit, two RBI and a run scored. Addison Lucas finished with three hits, an RBI and three runs scored.

Addison Lawson got the win, tossing six innings while allowing nine hits and four earned runs. She struck out two batters.

Middlesboro 15, Berea 2

The Lady Yellow Jackets scored five runs in both of the second and third innings while cruising to an easy 15-2 win over Berea.

Alexis Ingram had two hits, three RBI and one run scored while Addison Lawson delivered two hits, two RBI and scored four times. Abney Allen finished with a hit, two RBI and one run scored.

Kenna Lawson notched the win, pitching 1.1 innings while allowing two hits and two earned runs. She struck out three batters.

North Laurel 4, Hazard 2

The Lady Jaguars fell behind 2-0 before rallying to score four unanswered runs to defeat Hazard, 4-2.

The game was tied at two apiece in the bottom of the seventh inning when Saige McClure connected with the game-winning home run.

McClure finished with a hit, two RBI and one run scored while Bella Sizemore was 2-for-2. Katie Sams had a hit, an RBI, and one run scored.

Tessa Monhollen got the win, pitching 5.1 innings while allowing two hits, and no earned runs. She struck out five batters.

North Laurel 3, Clinton County 1

Chris Edwards’ Lady Jaguars improved to 4-0 with a 3-1 win over Clinton County.

Bella Finley went 2-for-3 with an RBI while Emma Carl delivered a run-scoring double.

Tessa Monhollen got the win, lasting three innings while allowing one hit and no earned runs. She struck out three batters. Carl got the save, pitching four innings, allowing two hits and one earned run, while striking out four batters. 

Pineville 2, Cumberland Gap, Tenn. 1

Rachel Howard struck out 16 batters and limited Cumberland Gap, Tenn. to one hit during Pineville’s 2-1 win.

Monica Whitehead went 3-for-3 for the Lady Mountain Lions while Jaycee Caldwell drove in a run.

Pineville 15, Thomas Walker, Va. 0

Rachel Howard dominated again, tossing a no-hitter while striking out 10 batters in Pineville’s 10-0 win.

Addison Slone hit a home run and finished with two hits, one RBI, and two runs scored while Monica Whitehead had two hits, two RBI, and two runs scored. Rayanna Maidon delivered two hits, three RBI, and scored twice.
