LONDON — North Laurel wasted no time showing why they were ranked as the top team in the 13th Region entering the 2025 campaign.

“Good game tonight,” North Laurel coach Chris Edwards said. “Hits up and down the lineup. Multiple hits from several girls including Emma Carl, Saige McClure, Bella Sizemore, Morgan Edwards, Tessa Monhollen and Bella Finley.

“Tessa Monhollen started in the circle went the distance and allowed no hits and only two walks,” he added. “She also had nine strikeouts, so a great job by her. Great start to the season for her in the circle.”

Bella Sizemore had two hits, two RBI, and a run scored while Ellie Adams had a hit, two RBI, and a run scored. Monhollen was 2-for-2 with an RBI while Katie Keen scored twice.
