Lady Wildcats pound out 15 hits during 15-0 season-opening win over Jellico, Tenn 

CORBIN — Julie Moore’s first varsity start of the 2025 season was an impressive one.

She tossed four innings while striking out four batters and allowing only two hits as Lynn Camp recorded a 15-0 win over Jellico, Tenn. 

Lauren Partin continues her impressive hitting at the plate from last season, collecting two extra base hits with two RBI and two runs scored while Charity Steele was a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, and three runs scored in the win. Lily Henize was 3-for-3 with two RBI and three runs scored while Cambree Prewitt also went 3-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored. 

“We played a good game tonight against a much improved Jellico team,” Lynn Camp coach Nikki Hendrix said. “Julie Moore had a strong performance on the mound and the defense backed her up.”

The Lady Wildcats (1-0) finished with 15 hits as Emma Burnette delivered a hit, and three RBI while scoring once. Aniyah Hamilton and Gabby Thomas each had a hit and an RBI apiece while Bailey Martin had a hit. Madison Weymers had three runs scored and walked four times. 

“Everyone done well at the plate while Lily Henize, Charity Steele, and Cambree Prewitt went 3-for-3. We are still a work in progress. I understand we are going to struggle at times, but we will continue to get better.”
