HARLAN — Brad Sizemore’s Bell County Bobcats cruised to an easy 90-36 win over Middlesboro while assuring themselves a spot in the 52nd District title game and 13th Region Tournament during the process.
Bell County built a 45-22 lead at halftime, and never looked back, improving to 26-5 while the Yellow Jackets finish the season with an 8-21 mark.
“I thought we were a little shaky in the first quarter, open round game against a rival school probably played into that a little but our guys settled down in the second quarter and really started pressuring the ball and we wore them down,” Sizemore said. “It was a good win. We are thankful to advance on the district finals and give us a spot in the regional. We will have to be ready to go Friday night.”
Ethan Buell led the Bobcats with 22 points while Blake Burnett scored 19 points, and Cameron Hall finished with 18 points.
Garrison Warren led Middlesboro with nine points.
