HARLAN — Harlan held off a late rally by Middlesboro to advance to Thursday’s 52nd District title game.
The Lady Green Dragons led throughout the contest, holding leads of 18-5, and 34-19 at halftime respectively before the Lady Yellow Jackets cut their deficit to 49-44 entering the fourth quarter.
Peyshaunce Wynn scored six points while Aymanni Wynn added four points in the fourth quarter to help Harlan (19-12) pull off a 66-61 win.
Kylie Noe had a huge game for the Lady Green Dragons, leading the way with 26 points while Peyshaunce Wynn added 13 points. Cheyanne Rhymer finished with 12 points while Aymanni Wynn scored 11 points.
Keevie Betts led Middlesboro (14-13) with 28 points while Millie Roberts added 13 points.
