BEREA — Williamsburg was searching for a win before entering postseason play next week, but fell to Berea, 47-34, on Friday.
Presley Spicer led the way with 15 points while Hannah Creekmore added seven points.
“Although we didn’t get the win tonight, I couldn’t be prouder of how the team played,” Williamsburg coach Melissia Douglas said. “The effort and heart shown on the court were undeniable, and the growth we’ve seen throughout the season was evident in every play.
“Special shout-out to our two senior ladies, who truly exemplified what it means to lead with class and grit,” she added. “Their determination and work ethic tonight set a standard for the entire team, and their effort was something we can all be proud of. These two have given everything to this program, and they’ve been incredible role models, not just in their performance, but in their attitude and leadership. We are lucky to have had them on this journey.”
