BARBOURVILLE — Knox Central snapped Williamsburg’s five-game win streak by defeating the Yellow Jackets on Tuesday, 81-56.
The Panthers turned in one of their best efforts of the season, controlling the game early while putting it away in the second half.
Grayson Burton scored 17 points in the win along with his 1,000th career point while Tydus Summers added 12 points and Hayden Melton finished with nine points and 10 rebounds.
The win improved Knox Central to 20-5 while Williamsburg’s record dropped to 17-9.
“Great win for us on senior night,” Knox Central coach Mitchell Madden said. “I’m very proud of this group picking up win No. 20, they deserve it. We played good team game had 11 kids score tonight. The Panthers’ future is very bright. I love my team.”
