Nichelson explodes for 18 of her game-high 28 points in the third quarter to lead North Laurel past Pulaski County

SOMERSET — Eddie Mahan’s No. 7 ranked North Laurel Lady Jaguars are finishing regular season strong, recording a convincing 67-31 win over Pulaski County on Tuesday while moving their record to 25-2.
Senior Brooke Nichelson continues to turn in dominating efforts, scoring a game-high 28 points in the win while Bella Sizemore knocked down six 3-pointers, finishing with 22 points while recording her 1,000th career point.
Mariella Claybrook chipped in seven points while Emma Carl added five points.
Sizemore hit three 3-pointers while scoring nine points in the opening quarter. Nichelson added eight points as North Laurel built a commanding, 22-7, lead.
Sizemore knocked down two more treys in the second quarter while scoring eight points as the Lady Jaguars’ lead grew to 37-19 at halftime.
Nichelson single-handidly put the game out of reach in the third quarter by scoring 18 points as Norths Laurel took a 63-26 edge into the fourth quarter.
