Lady Panthers overcome slow start, hand Whitley County 10-point loss 

WILLIAMSBURG — Knox Central managed to overcome early shooting struggles to pull off a 50-40 win over Whitley County on Thursday.

The Lady Panthers (22-4) held a slim 9-8 lead after the first quarter before heating up.

They managed to build a 29-17 lead at halftime while holding a 42-28 advantage entering the fourth quarter.

The Lady Colonels (16-9) continued to fight in the fourth quarter, and rallied, outscoring Knox Central 12-8, but the damage had been done. 

Halle Collins led the Lady Panthers with 16 points while Shelbie Mills finished with 14 points, and McKenzie Hensley added 11 points.

Khylea Ray Collier led Whitley County with 16 points while Cambree Price added 12 points.
