Slow start leads to Wildcats’ 81-48 loss 

CORBIN — Another slow start played a big role in Lynn Camp’s 81-48 loss to Cumberland Christian Home on Thursday.

The Wildcats (4-21) fell behind 25-9 in the first quarter and never recovered, dropping their sixth straight game.

Dinky Phipps’ squad battled in the second quarter, as Ethen Chafin scored nine points, helping Lynn Camp to remain behind 16 points (38-22) at halftime.

The Wildcats were outscored 27-16 in the third quarter and found themselves down, 65-38, with eight minutes left.

Cumberland Christian Home wrapped up the win by outscoring Lynn Camp, 16-10, in the fourth quarter.

Chafin led the Wildcats with 19 points while Caleb Woods added 13 points.
