WILLIAMSBURG — Four players scored in double figures for Whitley County as the Lady Colonels finished 50th District play with a 66-26 win over Williamsburg.
The Lady Colonels improved to 16-7 overall, and 3-3 versus 50th District competition. Whitley County had two wins over the Lady Yellow Jackets while going 1-1 against Corbin.
Williamsburg is now 6-15, and 0-6.
“Another good district road win,” Whitley County coach Michael Petrey said. “Aubree, Maddy, and KR scored the ball good for us in the first half. We are really excited about the progress Cami Price has made on the offensive end. She shot the ball good tonight. Autumn Sawyers has really improved in that aspect of the game as well. Jonna continues to be solid for us on both ends of the floor. We are excited that our team continues to make progress every game. We want to continue to improve as a team as we get closer to postseason play.”
Aubree Clemens led the way for the Lady Colonels, scoring 18 points while Maddy Hopkins finished with 14 points. Khylea Ray Collier and Cambree Price chipped in 11 points apiece.
Hannah Creekmore led the Lady Yellow Jackets with 11 points while Presley Spicer finished with seven points and Braylee Evans added six points.
