Jaguars drop 60-59 overtime thriller to Calloway County 

LEXINGTON — Nate Valentine’s North Laurel Jaguars lost an overtime thriller to Calloway County, falling in heartbreaking fashion, 60-59.

The Jaguars (8-4) finished its two weeks of playing in Christmas Tournaments with a 3-3 record.

They’ll now switch their focus to Friday’s 49th District road battle with Clay County.

North Laurel played from behind lost to the game against Calloway County, trailing 17-10 entering the second quarter.

The Jaguars’ deficit grew to 29-19 at halftime before they’d started to chip away at Calloway County’s lead in the third quarter, trailing, 45-38.

North Laurel fought back in the final eight minutes forcing overtime, but couldn’t come away with the win.

Reece Davidson led the Jaguars with 21 points while Kole Jervis added 14 points. Jordan Rawlings turned in a nine-point scoring effort.
