Colonels remain perfect in BSN Borderline Classic play

WILLIAMSBURG — Eric Swords’ Whitley County Colonels ran their record to 10-2 overall, and 2-0 in the BSN Borderline Classic with a 60-29 win over Nevada’s Green Valley Christian on Saturday.

Riley Fuson scored 15 points for the Colonels while Bryson Mahan had 12 points. Garrett Sharp contributed nine points and Levi Jackson finished with eight points.

“Always good to get a win,” Swords said. “I like how we are guarding but we have to get a better flow offensively earlier in the games or it will catch up to us. We play a good Gallatin County team tomorrow so we will have to be much better. It’s hard to complain after a win but we got to be locked in going forward.”
