North Laurel’s boys’ soccer team evened it’s record at 2-2-1 on Tuesday after upending Wayne County at home, 5-0.
The Jaguars were coming off an 8-1 loss to Madison Southern, and recovered from a slow start to win with ease over the outmatched Cardinals.
“We started a little slow tonight, but had several good opportunities in the first half and led 1-0 at halftime on a goal from Jaxon Jacobs,” North Laurel coach David Broyles said. “We came out in the second half and started capitalizing on those opportunities with four goals — two from Jaxon Jacobs, and one from Seth Miller, and one from JJ Edwards.”
Jaxon Jacobs finished with a hat trick and Tanner Broyles had four assists on the game.
“It was a total team effort,” Broyles added.
North Laurel is scheduled to be back in action Friday at home against Oneida Baptist.
