Bell County reeled off its 11th consecutive win over rival Middlesboro during Monday’s 52nd District Tournament game.
Led by Lauren McGeorge’s 17 points, and Gracie Jo Wilder’s 16-point scoring effort, Bell County cruised to an easy, 63-22, win.
After getting off to a slow start, and only leading, 11-4, at the end of the first quarter, the Lady Bobcats (22-9) went on a 22-3 run in the second quarter to take a 33-7 advantage into the locker room at halftime.
David Teague’s squad outscored Middlesboro, 18-9, in the third quarter, and never looked back.
Kairi Lamb added eight points for Bell County while Mikayla Gambrel added six points.
Keevi Betts led Middlesboro (5-24) with 11 points.
