Daniel Thomas turned in another impressive effort running the ball for Bell County, running for more than 200 yards and four touchdowns during the Bobcats’ 38-13 rout of Estill County.
The win clinched another district title for Dudley Hilton’s squad as Bell County improved to 7-2.
A deflected pass led to Estill County’s first score as the Engineers took a 7-0 advantage with 7:10 left in the first quarter.
Bell County answered in less than a minute as Daniel Thomas broke free for a 78-yard touchdown run while also adding the two-point conversion to give his team an 8-7 edge with 6:16 remaining in the first quarter.
Estill County regained a 13-8 edge at the 3:44 mark of the first quarter while Dawson Woolum’s 12-yard rushing touchdown combined with Thomas’ two-point conversion, gave Bell County a 16-13 lead going into halftime.
The Bobcats dominated the second half as Thomas had touchdown runs of three, 42 and 30 yards allowing Bell County to pull off a 38-13 win.
