Bell County is back on top of the 52nd District.
The Lady Bobcats captured their first district volleyball championship since 2023 with a dominant straight-set victory over Harlan County in Tuesday’s 52nd District Tournament title match.
Bell County controlled the championship contest from start to finish, posting convincing set victories of 25-11, 25-12 and 25-8 to complete the three-set sweep.
After opening the tournament with a 3-0 semifinal victory over Harlan, the Lady Bobcats carried that momentum into the championship match, leaving little doubt as they claimed the district crown without dropping a set during tournament play.
Bell County improved to 28-8 with the victory, while Harlan County fell to 10-20.
