WILLIAMSBURG — It only took Corbin three innings to capture another 50th District win on Tuesday.
The Redhounds improved to 10-5 overall and 2-0 against district opponents after a 15-0 victory over Williamsburg.
“Hunter Todd was sharp tonight, threw well,” Corbin coach Cody Philpot said. “We weren’t perfect but we did what we needed to do in the opening series.”
Malachi Zachery, Bret Estep, and Jaden Broughton each finished with a hit and three RBI apiece in the win while Clay Botner led the way with two hits, an RBI, and two runs scored. Trey Person finished with a hit, two RBI, and three runs scored.
Hunter Todd tossed a gem, pitching a three-inning one hitter while allowing no runs and striking out six batters.
The Redhounds outscored Williamsburg (5-5), 26-1, during the two-game series.
