CORBIN — Isaac Wilson’s Corbin Lady Redhounds are gaining momentum heading into next week’s 50th District Tournament, improving to 14-10 with a 60-27 win over Jackson County.
The Lady Redhounds led 20-9 after the first quarter, and 45-11 at halftime to put the game away.
Kalley Stewart and Aubree Clemens led the way with 12 points apiece while Lydia King added nine points and Addy Wilson chipped in eight points.
Corbin will finish regular season play with a home game on Friday against Bell County.
“Another positive night for many of our kids tonight,” Wilson said. “ It’s nice for this group to start building some momentum toward a post season push and I’m looking forward to finishing the regular season out on Thursday.
“Jackson is a very young basketball team who has a ton of potential in a few years,” he added. “I thought we came out of the gates early tonight and never looked back. We will look at having a good day of practice and preparation for Bell County tomorrow before we turn all of our focus toward the opening round of 50th District play. Go Hounds.”
