MCKEE — Bella Lewis came up big, scoring 10 of her game-high 20 points in the first quarter during North Laurel’s 73-21 win over Jackson County during Tuesday’s 49th District matchup.
The win extended the Lady Jaguars’ win streak against district opponents to 58 games while they improved to 14-6.
The loss dropped the Lady Generals to 5-11.
North Laurel wasted little time taking control of the game, building a 22-5 lead in the first quarter while leading 50-14 at halftime.
Mariella Claybrook scored 12 points during the period, allowing the Lady Jaguars to pull away.
North Laurel’s outscored Jackson County, 11-2, in the third quarter, and 12-5 in the fourth quarter.
Lewis led all scorers with 20 points while Claybrook added 18 points, and Laylee Phillips finished with nine points.
Kyler Martin led the Lady Generals with five points while Adalyn Brockman, and Sophia Martinez both added four points apiece.
