KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Williamsburg snapped a three-game losing streak on Friday night, defeating the Knoxville Ambassadors 44–27 to improve to 3–6 on the season.
The Lady Yellow Jackets set the tone early, jumping out to a 12–2 lead after the first quarter and extending the margin to 24–12 by halftime. Williamsburg continued to control the pace in the third quarter, carrying a 32–18 advantage into the final period before closing out the win.
Abby Moses led the way for Williamsburg with 23 points, including nine in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. Braylee Evans added 14 points, while Bella Jeffries finished with four. Marissa Meadors scored two points and dominated the glass with 10 rebounds. Brielle Evans chipped in a point as the Lady Yellow Jackets showed balanced contributions across the lineup.
Williamsburg coach Melissia Douglas was proud of her team’s effort and execution.
