Corbin Overcomes Big Night from Dhal to Secure Win

Corbin used balanced scoring and a strong second-half push to defeat Freeport, Fla., 65–49, improving the Lady Redhounds to 6–2 on the season.

The game was tight early, tied at 14 apiece entering the second quarter. 

Corbin trailed 31–30 at halftime before turning the momentum in the third quarter while taking a 47–41 lead into the final period. The Lady Redhounds put the game away in the fourth quarter to secure the win.

Freeport’s 6-foot-9 freshman center Athiei Dhal finished with a game-high 33 points, but Corbin’s depth proved to be the difference.

Nine different Lady Redhounds scored in the victory. Lydia King led the way with 19 points, while Izzy Walker added nine and Addy Wilson finished with eight. Aubree Clemens and Kalley Stewart chipped in seven points apiece as Corbin pulled away late.
