MIDDLESBORO — Williamsburg went on the road Monday, and dropped a 75-47 decision despite Lane Jeffries’ 24-point scoring effort.
The Yellow Jackets remain winless at 0-4 while Middlesboro improves to 4-2.
“We did a bad job of upholding the standard we have set for ourselves tonight. We showed growth in a couple areas but regressed in a couple more,” Williamsburg coach Brandon Bargo said. “Tonight’s performance was not acceptable and we will work to make sure that doesn’t happen again. I’m disappointed tonight but still love my group and know what they can accomplish and we are going to do everything possible to push the right buttons to make that happen.”
