Knox Central used a strong finish and a dominant performance from Shelbie Mills to pull away from Knott Central on Thursday, earning a 60–40 victory and a spot in Saturday’s WYMT Mountain Classic semifinals.
Mills delivered a game-high 21 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter as the Lady Panthers stretched a single-digit lead into a comfortable win. Kaylynn Smith followed with 10 points, while Mackenzie Hensley added nine. Maggie Gibson chipped in seven.
The win moves Knox Central to 2–0 on the season and sets up a semifinal matchup with North Laurel on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
