HARLAN — The Middlesboro Yellow Jacket football program made history Friday on the road against Harlan by capturing its 700th win becoming the 16th team in Kentucky to accomplish the feat.
Middlesboro joins Corbin (780) as the only two teams in the 13th Region with more than 700 wins.
The Yellow Jackets wasted little time taking control against the Green Dragons, scoring early and often behind a tenacious offense led by quarterback Deakon Partin and tailback Caden Lawson as Larry French’s squad won 58-0.
Middlesboro improved to 5-0 overall in the win and 2-0 against District 7 opponents while Harlan fell to 1-5 and 0-2.
