Oneida Baptist Stays Perfect, Captures 13th Region All A Classic Title, and Tops Pikeville

It’s been a week to remember for the Oneida Baptist Mountaineers’ boys’ soccer team. The Mountaineers not only went 2-0 to capture the 13th Region All A Classic title, but they also capped the stretch with an impressive 8-0 win over Pikeville on Saturday.

Offensively, the Mountaineers were once again explosive, with Henrique Gabardo recording a hat trick. Amadeus Martin added two goals, Hero chipped in one, and Mikyas Dawit found the net twice. The balanced scoring attack helped push Oneida Baptist to a 5-0 record on the season.

Through their first five matches, the Mountaineers have been nothing short of dominant, outscoring their opponents by a staggering 51-1 margin.

“Played really well overall,” Oneida Baptist coach Hunter House said. “Huge week for us next week, tribe shootout at Madison Central and North at home. Going to be heavily tested and I’m excited to see how the boys respond. Still lots to work on but we are only going to get better.”
