HAZARD — Whitley County had hopes of moving its record to a perfect 2-0, but Hazard had other things in mind, winning, 42-7.
The Bulldogs scored on the first offensive play from scrimmage, racing 61 yards and never looked back.
Hazard added two more touchdowns to take a 21-0 lead and scored again in the second quarter to build a 28-0 halftime lead.
Whitley County’s Andrew Brown scored from 13 yards out to cut Hazard’s lead to 28-7 with 1:46 left in the third quarter.
Hazard added two more scores to put the game away.
